Everyone at Stillwater Ranch helped me get through losing my husband and my grieving. Being at the ranch helps lower my anxiety and stress. I’m so thankful Stillwater Ranch came into my life at a time when I needed it most. I will always be grateful for all Wendy and the ranch did to help me. It is an amazing place of hope and healing that I will never forget.

I’ve tried traditional therapy several times in the past to deal with the traumas I experienced during my time in the military. I just couldn’t take it and left every time after the first session. Dealing with the horses was so different. Interacting with them helped me to see similar patterns in my life and I learned ways to make different choices. I only left the ranch after 8 months due to other obligations that got in the way. Stillwater Ranch has so much to offer Veterans in a gorgeous place!

Since coming to Stillwater Ranch, I’ve made significant progress in a short period of time. I have the opportunity to work with the horses and they really calm and center me in a way that I’ve not experienced in years. Getting to hang out with other Veterans is very helpful too on my road to rediscovering myself and healing. I no longer have thoughts of suicide and have hope for the first time in a very long time
